Dr. Charlotte L. Williams is welcoming past Scholars in Residence to return to the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service as guest lecturers for her spring social change course, Philanthropy Leadership and the Nonprofit Sector.
The returning lecturers for this semester include Heather Larkin, President and CEO of the Arkansas Community Foundation; Dr. William Bell, President and CEO of Casey Family Programs; and Dr. Sherece West-Scantlebury, CEO of the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation.
Each Scholar’s lecture will provide a virtual opportunity for students in Williams’ class to engage with leadership within philanthropy in real-time. Students will be able to enjoy in-depth discussions on a variety of topics and practices, providing a rich learning environment and experience.
Williams, who serves as Director for the Center on Community Philanthropy, created the Scholars in Residence program in 2009 to bring presidents, CEOs, executive directors, and other leaders to Little Rock to share their experiences and expertise. Past scholars have delivered lectures on economic development, community wealth building, racial equity, disaster recovery, public health, and social justice, among other topics.
