Tyler Announced as Community Services Director for City of Eau Claire

Renee Tyler (’20) has been announced as the Community Services Director for the City of Eau Claire, Wisc. Tyler will start in her new position on Monday, September 21.

Tyler most recently served as the Director of Transportation Services for the City of Dubuque, Iowa. Prior to her time in Dubuque, Tyler was employed by the City of Little Rock from 2013 to 2016 as a fleet acquisition, parts, and special projects manager. Her previous experience also includes serving as executive administrator to the CEO of RVM Enterprises, an eDiscovery and consulting services firm in New York, N.Y.; chief of staff to New Jersey Assemblyman Jerry Green in the New Jersey General Assembly in Plainfield, N.J.; and assistant to the CEO of the Promontory Financial Group in New York, N.Y.

She has served on a variety of committees and commissions including the American Public Works Association (APWA) National Equity and Diversity and National Government Affairs Committees, Dubuque County Historic Preservation Commission, and American Public Works Association Emerging Leaders Academy, among others.

A 2020 graduate, Tyler was the recipient of the Public Service Award, given to an online student who has demonstrated excellence in public service during their time at the Clinton School. She was also selected as the Student Speaker from her class.

Tyler was among the first group of students to graduate from the Clinton School’s online degree program. In addition to her Master of Public Service, she earned her bachelor’s degree in social welfare from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
