Muranaka Joins Cambridge Technology Partners

Reiko Muranaka (‘20) has joined Cambridge Technology Partners, Inc., a global consulting firm based in Japan. Muranaka will be based in Torrance, Calif., as a Senior Consultant.

Cambridge Technology Partners is an international management consulting and systems integration firm combining internet solutions, software deployment, network services, and training to deliver end-to-end business solutions for organizations across the world.

A native of Yokosuka-shi, Kanagawa, Japan, Muranaka will be based at the company’s U.S. headquarters in Torance. The Torrance office specializes in consulting services for business process reengineering, IT strategy, and project management.

“The reason I applied to Cambridge is it is a social enterprise assisting clients in profit, nonprofit, and public sectors for community development,” Muranaka said. “They consulted Plan International Japan, which is my favorite non-governmental organization focusing on empowering women. I wanted to help any clients in any sector for community development, so Cambridge is a perfect workplace for me.”

A Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholar, Muranaka’s Clinton School field service experiences included planning, developing, and implementing a training program for business coaches and local business owners enrolled in the business incubator program at Wesley College in Mwanza, Tanzania. The efforts were part of her International Public Service Project.

For her Capstone project, she helped the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub improve its production process and plan a new business accelerator for local startups and small businesses.

“The process improvement project directly connected to the job, and incubator/accelerator project experience will help me when I help startups and nonprofits,” Muranaka said. “Clinton School programs were helpful to get the job.”

A graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in economics and finance, Muranaka previously worked as an internal business IT consultant with Daikin Industries, Ltd.
