Benton Joins Fellowship Bible Church in Full-Time Role

Second-year student Maggie Benton has joined Fellowship Bible Church, West Little Rock Campus as a Junior High Girls Pastor. Benton will connect, counsel, and shepherd 7th and 8th grade girls in her new role.

“I’m grateful that my experience at the Clinton School has prepared me in so many ways for life after graduate school,” Benton said. “Throughout my time in this program, I was taught how to facilitate community conversations, how to better communicate and think critically about tough issues, how to implement and analyze organizational programs, how to serve in the nonprofit sector, and much more.”

Benton will contribute to Fellowship Student Ministry events and programming; assist in the planning and executing of multisite student ministry events and trips; execute logistics and planning on events and trips; assimilate and oversee small group meetings; and contribute to the writing and developing of small group curriculum.

A graduate of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Benton served as the UAF Associated Student Government Vice President and was the winner of the Miss Arkansas 2017 Scholarship Pageant.

Last summer, she worked with CESI Training Center in Angouleme, France, as part of her International Public Service Project.

“I think my experience at the Clinton School will help me as I connect, counsel, plan, develop, and lead in my new role,” Benton said.
