SEE STUDENTS IN ACTION
While learning valuable lessons in the classroom, Clinton School students spend much of their time participating in for-credit public service projects ranging from local work in Arkansas communities to international projects in locations throughout the world. Locally, student groups partner with government and nonprofit organizations to work on Practicum projects to aid Arkansas communities. Globally, students partner with a foundation or NGO and spend a summer abroad completing an International Public Service Project (SEE MAP) of their choice. To complete the MPS degree, students perform an individual Capstone in their particular field of interest.
Here are just some of the international projects our students have worked on and are working on this school year:
- ARGENTINA—We provided a best practices manual for the adoptive grandparent program.
- AUSTRALIA—We worked on youth outreach, leadership training and community education to deter drug use and sale.
- BELIZE—The Clinton School documented the health-related impact of clean water availability.
- CZECH REPUBLIC—We reported to the United Nations on housing rights.
- GHANA—In partnership with the Sovereign Global Mission, we assessed nutrition programs and HIV/AIDS prevention programs.
